New Zealand sports fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming days, with a range of major sports bringing action that will keep sports bettors busy.
Cricket
New Zealand's cricket team slumped to a disappointing 2-1 ODI series loss at the hands of Bangladesh. While the series was hotly-contested from the first ball, the Black Caps will be frustrated to have gone from winning the first ODI to losing the series 2-1.

Franchise cricket kicks up a gear in April and May, with the Indian Premier League headlining action across the month. Alongside the IPL, you can see the Pakistan Super League in full flow too. Not to be out done by the IPL, the competition has boasted big names like Babar Azam, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Steve Smith and Glenn Maxwell.
As we head into May, the playoffs begin. Peshawar Zalmi have been the best side in the PSL by some distance and are eying a place in the grand final at the first time of asking. They face Islamabad United in the qualifier on Tuesday.
Keep an eye on the run scorer markets, with the IPL and PSL boasting some of the best short format batters. There is value to be found in the bowling markets especially when it comes to the spinners, with pitches in both countries conducive to spin and wearing down as each side has played a good number of matches so far.
Rugby Union
The 2026 Super Rugby season has not disappointed as we hurtle towards the final few weeks of the regular season. We will be treated to some of the best rugby matches and performances across the season as the Crusaders battle to defend their title.
The Super Rugby season continues into round 12, with Crusaders looking to hand the Hurricanes a reality check as they try to force their way up the ladder.
Prem Rugby and the United Rugby Championship take a break this week as the Champions Cup returns. Leinster host Toulon on Saturday in the first semi-final before Bordeaux take on Bath on Sunday for a place in the final.
Rugby League
The first cluster of rounds of the new NRL season has seen the Panthers top the ladder with seven wins from eight games.
With a huge portion of the season to come, each team still has a lot of time to both win and lose games. Keep an eye on try scoring markets especially for teams like the Warriors and Panthers, who have returned +86 and +167 points differences respectively.
New Zealand And European Football
Club soccer returns in midweek for the hotly-anticipated semi-final first-legs in the Champions League. PSG host Bayern Munich in the opening clash before Arsenal travel to Spain to face Atletico Madrid. The semi-finals of the Europa League and Conference League are also being played across the week.
At the weekend, club football rumbles on as the England Premier League, German Bundesliga, Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A and French Ligue 1 heat up. Many of the leagues are yet to be decided, with the trophies, European places and relegation still up for grabs in most leagues.
The playoffs of the A-League are here, with the best sides in New Zealand and Australia set to battle for silverware. The Eliminators will see Auckland FC battle Melbourne City before Melbourne Victory and Sydney FC go toe-to-toe.
Horse Racing
The world of horse racing switches its attention to the Punchestown Festival in County Kildare, Ireland. The five-day festival will take place across April 28 - May 2, with some of the biggest races in the sport set to take place across the showpiece event. With Grade 1 contests and huge races including Punchestown Gold Cup on Wednesday, this festival is not one to be missed.
Major Tennis
The French Open Grand Slam is fast approaching, with clay based tournaments coming thick and fast as players look to get in form ahead of the second Slam of the season. The Madrid Open headlines events after getting underway on April 21, with the tournament set to end on May 3.
